I’m Farha, a trauma therapist and healer.
I’ve spent the earlier years of my life feeling lost and like I didn’t belong or just that I was so behind it was almost impossible to catch up. The way everyone else showed up in the world so seamlessly and moved about their space was fascinating to me, inspiring too - but ultimately more and more isolating. As everything continued to feel deeply off, I began to embark on a healing journey through therapy, spirituality and movement. As this journey has transformed me and my energy, it also became the way I desire to help others. I’ve completed my Bachelors in Psychology and Business Management from Southern Methodist University and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Lamar University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate based in Dallas, Texas working under the supervision of Jessica Callahan, LPC-S.
I started my journey into the world of helping clients interning for a non-profit in Plano, The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center. We focused on serving sexual abuse victims and other complex trauma cases. My passion lies in helping adults navigate life, increase self-awareness, heal from trauma and ultimately live life leading with their highest Self. My approach is rooted in person-centered counseling at its core and integrated further based on each individual person and what they need. The modalities I integrate with can include Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Expressive Arts. I understand the sensitivities around life’s challenges and the profound impact it can have on our lives and my hope is that therapy will empower you for positive change, new levels of awareness, evolution and expansion.
